Good days and bad days...

You have to have bad days in order to appreciate the good ones, right? Haley has been limping for a few weeks and won't put much weight on her right leg. So far we've had blood tests, Xrays, and MRIs done that left us with no answers. The MRI showed fluid behind her knee and swollen lymph nodes indicating it could be an infection. Her white blood count was elevated so she was scheduled for surgery last week to "irrigate" her knee. During the surgery they also tested the fluid and did a biopsy of the tissue. We are still waiting for the results but the doctor seems to think it is probably juvenile rheumatiod arthritis. We will know more as the test results come back and we will also be seeing a pediatric arthritis specialist in July (she only comes to town twice a month). Two days after the surgery, Haley was up bouncing around. Today she is actually walking just as well (if not better) than before her surgery.

Pool time!

Not only do we live on the golf course... we also have a pool in our backyard! We've just increased the value of our house :)

Kindergarten Graduation Day...

We have finally completed our backyard. Hooray for tax refunds! We can officially say we live right off of the golf course :)

AJ's Soccer Season comes to an end...

AJ had a great final soccer game. Here are pics from the game and the pool party where he received his trophy. Both coaches complimented AJ at his hard work and determination and encouraged him to continue playing soccer.

Baby Contest

Haley was invited to attend the finals of the baby contest that a local radio station was putting on - we submitted her photo a few weeks ago. She didn't win, but we had fun!

Guess who we saw in concert on Friday!?!?

We finally saw Duran Duran in concert. They still put on a great performance!

The opening act was a British band (ironically called)Your Vegas- they were really good. I ended up buying their CD. You can see their video at the top right of this web page.

Duran Duran played a mix of new music and of course, their retro songs. Toward the end of the show, they invited some "special guests" out to help with the song Planet Earth. I was excited when I saw the members of The Killers come out to sing with them. It was a fun show.

We spent Saturday evening at the Las Vegas 51s baseball game with our friend Bruce and his son Blake.

AJ has been doing great with soccer this season... he loves playing goalie. During his game this weekend he scored a goal and blocked every ball that was kicked his way. Way to go, AJ!

Grandpa's Party...

Dad is officially retired! Last weekend Carrie threw a surprise BBQ party for him so we drove down to Arizona to celebrate. Didn't get too many pictures- they all turned out dark for some reason.
